Alexander Flassak has been appointed as the new CEO of lux-Airport, taking over from René Steinhaus, who will step down at the end of April.

The current deputy CEO and chief financial officer at the company which manages the country’s only commercial airport, Flassak will formally take up his new role on an interim basis from May 1.

Flassak worked for Ernst & Young for almost a decade before joining the lux-Airport's team in 2014.

The airport’s current CEO, Steinhaus, is to leave at his own request to pursue new professional challenges.
