Luxembourg band Seed to Tree is to participate in a Greater Region music project that could see the group projected onto the international scene.

The Multipistes scheme, supported by the European Community, selects emerging bands or artists each year from Luxembourg, Belgium and France (Meuse and Lorraine) and gives them training and assistance to help them get heard further afield.

Seed to Tree has been selected to represent Luxembourg and follows in the footsteps of previous Luxembourg beneficiaries Mutiny on the Bounty and Lawyers, Guns 'n' Money by beginning a six-month intensive course in Nancy, France.

Later, all selected acts will have a chance to play at the Rockhal in Luxembourg and at venues in Arlon and Liège in Belgium, among other locations, for recording sessions.

The news comes after a successful year for the home-grown indie-folk act, which released its first EP in September last year and played a handful of festivals including Food For Your Senses, Rock um Knuedler, “Les Aralunaires” in Arlon, e-Lake and Rock-A-Field.

Other selected acts from the Greater Region include MAV from France Lorraine, Oscar Lezar from the French Meuse and Lylac from Belgium.
