Boulevard Royal to close on Friday night
(JB) Road users are warned to expect disruptions in the capital when a major road is closed for resurfacing.
The work is due to be carried out on the Boulevard Royal, a road frequently used by buses and cars alike, on the night of September 16 to 17.
The boulevard will be closed to all traffic from 8pm until 6am the following morning from the section connecting the Côte d’Eich and avenue Porte Neuve.
A diversion will be in place to redirect motorists meanwhile bus users are warned to expect temporary changes to their usual routes.
Travelling towards Limpertsberg and Kirchberg, lines 2, 4, 7, 12, 13, 16, 18 and night bus the CN2 will be diverted from Centre E. Hamilius via bd du Prince Henri. The bus stop at Forum Royal will be replaced by a stop at Fondation Pescatore.
For buses travelling in both directions, line CN1 will run between the Glacis and the Montée de Clause, via rue des Glacis and the Côte d'Eich.
The Glacis bus stop for buses travelling to Clausen will be moved in front of the Grand Théâtre.
In the event of bad weather, the works may be postponed.
