Cargolux to hold roadshows in November to hire pilots
Luxembourg-based Cargolux, Europe's biggest all-cargo airline, is holding roadshows at Brussels and Amsterdam airports to hire pilots for their Boeing 747-8/400 aircraft.
The event in Belgium is on November 9 and the one in the Netherlands will happen on November 10. Cargolux is seeking Type rated and Non-Type rated First Officers.
"We foresee a need of 40-50 pilots per year over the next two to three years," Head Of Corporate Communications, Moa Sigurdardottir, said in an emailed answer to questions. "The additional manpower is needed to cover the projected network for the next years and support the diversification of our operations."
"We also need to cover attrition for the future, such as retirements," she said.
Cargolux has more than 85 offices in over 50 countries. Its shareholders are Luxair with 35.10%, China's Henan Civil Aviation Development and Investment 35%, Luxembourg bank BCEE 10.9%.
SNCI, which offers medium and long term financing of Luxembourg based companies, has 10.7% of the company. The Luxembourg state holds an 8.3% stake.
