Disposing of your Christmas tree
As twelfth night approaches, residents taking down their festive decorations may be wondering how to dispose of Christmas trees.
Luxembourg City health department advises residents that unwanted trees can be placed alongside household waste on rubbish collection days.
If trees are taller than two metres, residents are asked to cut the trees in half to assist dustmen in the collection of waste.
Trees will only be collected during normal rubbish collection rounds provided they are placed next to rubbish bins or bags.
Alternatively, residents can dispose of their trees in special containers at some organic waste yards. To find out more, visit www.vdl.lu
