(ADW) The second suspect, who drove a  BMW that knocked down and nearly killed a young customs officer in the Capellen area two weeks ago, has now been arrested.

After launching an initial call for witnesses, police managed track and find the passenger of the car involved in the hit and run incident on October 17.

Shots from video cameras monitoring the motorway service station were used in which the suspects could be distinguished relatively well.

While the car passenger from Carignan in France was presented before the judge his accomplice, the driver Jeremy Loutsch, still remained at large and on the run.

A national and international arrest warrant was issued and a new appeal for witnesses was launched against him.

According to reports from RTL, Jeremy Loutsch actually gave himself in and went of his own accord to a police station in Bar-le-Duc, France where he was arrested.
