(CS) Over 40 museums across the country will open their doors for free this weekend, as the annual “Invitation aux Musées” takes place with special activities and new exhibitions on the programme.

While well-known art venues in the capital, such as Casino Luxembourg, Mudam, Villa Vauban or Musée Dräi Eechelen will take part, the weekend will also offer a chance to explore destinations elsewhere in the country.

How about a trip to the wine museum in Ehnen, the plane museum in Mondorf-les-Bains, Roman ruins in Echternach, the military museum in Diekirch or the mining museum in Rumelange?

Some 44 museums are taking part in total, spread across Luxembourg. Most offer guided tours throughout the weekend, as well as workshops, talks and activities for families and children.
