(ADW) In case you didn't know, Luxembourg's National Day celebrations start today with a torchlight procession, fireworks and a host of parties and other entertainment.

On the day itself, that is to say Thursday, the official programme will begin at 10:30 am with the Te Deum. We just have to keep our fingers crossed that the festival doesn't see too much rain. People are advised to leave their cars at home and get public transport instead.

Transport information

To take advantage of this extensive programme of events, you'll actually have to get into the City Centre, not an easy task if you try and use your car, and made even more difficult given the large crowds for the celebrations.

Therefore, the message is clear: leave your car at home or use the Park & Ride at Bouillon (bus 17) and Kirchberg (bus 38), where buses leave for the centre every 5 to 10 minutes between 6pm and 11:30pm. Return trips to the car parks will be from midnight until 3:30am.
