Pedestrian knocked down by bus
A pedestrian was injured after being knocked down by a bus in Luxembourg City on Friday evening, while attempting to cross the road.
The incident occurred at about 7.30pm when a pedestrian began to cross the road at Pont Büchler, the bridge that crosses over the train tracks near the central station.
An approaching car was able to spot the person in time, and managed to avoid collision. However this was not the case for a following bus that despite an emergency braking manoeuvre, hit the pedestrian, knocking them to the ground.
Luckily however, according to initial reports, the victim escaped the accident with only minor injuries.
