Protestor claims Lux police shot her
(JB) A demonstrator has claimed she was shot by Luxembourg police officers with a rubber bullet during last week's protest march.
Luxembourg's City streets were filled with an estimated 7,000 demonstrators on June 21 when union leaders called a mass protest against European Union imposed austerity measures.
As with any protest, the march included rousing speeches, chanting and people waving banners.
It appeared to pass peacefully, until this week when it emerged that a protestor living in Liège, Belgium, had filed a complaint against the Grand Ducal police.
She claims that the he was injured in the knee by a rubber bullet fired by officers. Her union is backing the complaint against X with the Liège courts.
Luxembourg's police force has denied the allegation.
