Luxembourg's royal family meets Pope Francis
Luxembourg's Grand Ducal family received an audience with the Pope on Monday while on a visit to the Vatican.
Grand Duchess Maria-Teresa and Grand Duke Henri were accompanied by their children, children-in-law and grand-children for the 30-minute private visit with Pope Francis.
It marked the first time that the entire Grand Ducal family had been received since the Pope was elected in 2013.
The family visited as part of the Jubilee of Mercy, a Roman Catholic period of prayer held from the Feast of the Immaculate Conception to the Feast of Christ the King.
After their visit, the Pope received former French president Nicolas Sarkozy and his wife, Carla.
