(JA) Luxembourg and Kazakhstan are intensifying their bilateral ties. On Thursday, Prime Ministers Jean-Claude Juncker and Karim Massimov signed four agreements.

"I'm jealous of Jean-Claude Junckers approval ratings", Massimov commented on Juncker's scores in the Politmonitor, crediting the long-serving Prime Minister with approval rates around 90 percent. "It's all happening in a democratic context", Juncker replied.

After their brief statements to the press, the Prime Ministers did not take journalist questions. "I'm hungry, we're running late", said Juncker.

The agreements modify the bilateral double-tax agreement, foresee a co-operation between the courts of auditors and the innovation agencies of the two countries and improve the attractiveness of the Luxembourg financial centre for customers from Kazakhstan.
