Warning of A13 motorway section closure from Sunday
(ADW) Luxembourg highway maintenance service “Ponts et Chaussées” are warning that sections of the A13 motorway will be closed with diversions in place, from Sunday until Tuesday, July 7.
Due to planned resurfacing, roadworks will be present on the A13 motorway between the Schengen and Mondorf junctions in the direction of Pétange.
This means that as of 6pm on Sunday the exit N10 towards Pétange will be blocked to all traffic. Motorists will be diverted into Germany via the Perl junction. This is due to the Markusberg tunnel also being closed for resurfacing work from the German border into Luxembourg.
On Monday, however, the roads begin to be unblocked, but not entirely. From 8pm the N10 exit will remain closed and traffic will still be diverted into Germany. However for the motorway itself and through the Markusberg tunnel, the inside lane will open to traffic, while the outside lane remains blocked in the direction of Pétange.
By Tuesday, July 7, at 8pm, the roadworks should be complete and all roadblocks lifted.
