Man injures 3 police in violent dispute over a child
Three people were injured in a struggle on Sunday morning when police attempted to intervene in a violent dispute between a man and woman fighting over a child.
The incident occurred in Luxembourg City on rue de Strasbourg at about 5.40am when police officers spotted a couple disputing over a young child, held in the arms of the woman.
When police attempted to intervene, the man reacted violently, lashing out at the officers, and repeatedly tried to snatch the child from the woman's arms.
The officers then placed themselves between the two, but the man refused to stop his attempts at grabbing the child and in the process hit the police.
In total three police officers were injured in the incident and it was later discovered that the man had been drinking excessively.
Eventually the man was arrested and taken into custody and charged with violence, disorder and resisting arrest.
