New home for Luxembourg charity 'Stëmm vun der Strooss'

The Luxembourg charity “Stëmm vun der Strooss” helping the homeless in the Grand Duchy, is moving from what has become rather cramped premises to a building on rue de Hollerich.

The Luxembourg charity “Stëmm vun der Strooss” helping the homeless in the Grand Duchy, is moving from what has become rather cramped premises to a building on rue de Hollerich.

Luxembourg City commune made the announcement that the organisation will move from its current base in rue de la Fonderie, just around the corner to a building located at 24 rue de Hollerich purchased for the sum of 1.4 million euros.

The ground floor of the new premises was previously a café, and therefore should prove ideal for Stëmm von der Strooss to set up a new canteen for its users, explained the City's Mayor Lydie Polfer.

The upper floors will be furnished rooms to be rented out by Luxembourg City.

As for  the upper floors, the plan is to have furnished rooms to be rented by the city.
