New logo, new colours & new website!

Yes you are in the right place! You no doubt logged on to the wort.lu website and were surprised (pleasantly we hope) to discover a new-look website, a new logo and new colours!

Yes you are in the right place! You no doubt logged on to the wort.lu website and were surprised (pleasantly we hope) to discover a new-look website, a new logo and new colours!

Our logo is now closer to that of our ‘mother’ product the "Luxemburger Wort", black on white, with splashes of colour to identify the language: blue for German, red for French and you are currently looking at the English version in all its glory in orange!

Now the site remembers which language you chose for the next time you visit too – no hunting for the piddly little language flags!

Although we all work under the same roof and communicate regularly, the three language teams work independently, providing news specific to their audiences. The colours will help you distinguish exactly where you are.

Apart from that, everything looks more modern, with easier and clearer layout with far more possibilities. Videos, photos, polls, files, blogs are all clearer and more accessible.

However at the same time we hope the site remains familiar to you too. Many of the sections are the same, and a lot of what you normally search for can be found exactly where you think it should be.

We are not finished yet!

The idea behind the platform you are looking at is one that is an easy to use tool for editing by the journalists, and simple to navigate for the reader. At the same time this site is flexible enough to develop with more and more features, some of which will be added soon. This was something near-on impossible with the old site.

We could continue describing the site, but nothing beats a good old rummage by yourself! So now go forth, take a look around the site, check out what’s hidden behind our galleries and links dotted around the site.

We think wort.lu is better looking, more modern and faster, but what do you think? One of the first things you can do is take part in our little poll on the right side of the site: “What do you think of the new website?”

We sincerely hope you enjoy the new wort.lu website
