New Luxair simulator up and running
(sth) – After acquiring a new simulator destined for cabin crew and pilot emergency evacuation training back in December, Luxair inaugurated its 'Cabin Emergency Evacuation Trainer' this week.
In a press release, the airline states: “Passenger and flight crew safety is the highest priority for Luxair. The decision to reinforce flight crew training tools was taken with this in mind”.
The simulator arrived in Luxembourg by special convoy last December and will be used for initial and recurrent practical training courses for Luxair flight crew. Various types of training courses will be carried out in it, such as door training, fire exercises, on-board service, first aid or even management of unruly passengers.
The machine is located at the Cargolux Training Academy. Two months were needed for installing and connecting it to all the necessary interfaces (oxygen, electricity etc.) and carrying out the final adjustments.
The tool is now up and running to welcome Luxair crew for their training courses and can also be rented by other airlines for their training purposes.
