New Luxembourg portrait flag taking shape

It has been just over a week now since Luxembourg photographer Jacques Schneider announced he was creating a citizens mosaic flag in time for national day on June 23. Now “De Lëtzebuerger Fandel” is taking shape, but still has a long way to go.

It was during the weekend that Schneider posted his "prototype" image of his project on his Facebook page to give us all a sneak peek into what it will eventually look like.

Taken in black and white, the portraits are then placed in the red, white or blue of the Luxembourg flag.

The first result shows that this project promises to produce not only a pretty-looking flag, but a great symbol for National Day on June 23. The photo shooting ends on May 15.

Check out the portraits of those that have already posed for the flag, in a clever little video:

Fancy posing for the flag too?
