New supermarket in Luxembourg City

Time poor shoppers have another option for buying their groceries in the capital after a new Carrefour Express supermarket opened.

The store in Avenue de la Gare opened its doors to the public for the first time on Wednesday, offering a wide selection of Luxembourg and Portugese brands, among other things. It also includes a meat section and baked foods from the Fischer bakery chain.

The shop is part of the Belgian Carrefour chain, which opened its first Luxembourg store in Marnach 15 years ago.

It is open seven days a week.
