Orange Luxembourg has announced a 14.9 percent growth in turnover for 2012 after sales turnover doubled during the last quarter.

Despite a difficult economic climate, the mobile phone network made a 65.5 million euro turnover last year compared with 60.6 million the year before. Its global turnover in 2012 was 75.5 million euros, marking a progression of 14.9 percent from the year before.

During 2012, the number of active mobile clients in the Grand Duchy grew by 6.6 percent with Orange being the provider of choice of 105,805 clients. The average revenue per client was 51.88 euros per month, compared with 50.76 euros in 2011.

Orange Luxembourg puts some of last year's success down to its continued expansion programme. After launching its 4G LTE network, it recently established its H+ network offering high-speed mobile networks.

The firm also launched a number of new packages, including the most recent, Beyond, a mobile device management solution for companies adapted to new mobile terminals.
