Scores of people gathered in the streets of Luxembourg on Friday with special glasses, cameras, telescopes and smartphones to witness the partial solar eclipse.
The event was the first of its kind to be visible in Luxembourg since August 11, 1999, and its rarity was not lost on the Grand Duchy's residents who, awestruck, watched the breathtaking sight.
The eclipse began in Luxembourg at around 9.20am, peaking at 10.30am and ending at around 11.40am.
