(CS) A young couple had to be hospitalised after they were attacked by a group of people travelling on a shuttle bus to Rives de Clausen, with police looking for witnesses to the late Friday night incident.

The couple was on a bus to Rives de Clausen around 3.20am on June 7 when an argument broke out as the bus was nearing the Clausen bridge. For apparently no reason, the man was brutally attacked by several people.

His partner wanted to defend him, but the woman was kicked in the lower abdomen and struck to the ground.

When the bus driver stopped and went to the back of the bus to intervene, the attackers quickly ran away, with the doors of the bus open.

The couple was taken to hospital for treatment. Six suspects were apprehended only a short while later; however, police are looking for witnesses for further information.

Police can be contacted at +352 4997-4500.
