(CS) Luxembourg's police are set to carry out increased speed controls in cities, towns and villages from August 10 to 18 as part of the latest road safety campaign.

Every month, police target one particular traffic issue. In past months this has included checks of car papers, whether drivers wear their seat belt, as well as specific controls of motorcyclists for risky driving.

In August, police will show an increased presence on Luxembourg's roads to carry out speed checks in built-up areas, especially targeting areas with many pedestrians.

With many holiday-goers travelling through Luxembourg by car, police have also announced that they will organise more traffic monitoring stations and strengthen their presence at service stations.
