Princess Alexandra brings smiles on sports day

Youngsters got a rare glimpse of Luxembourg's Princess Alexandra on Saturday when she attended a special school sports day.

The princess was the star guest at NOSL meets ZAK, 2015, a sporting competition organisation by the School Nordstad Diekirch and association Zesummen aktiv (ZAK) as part of the "Sports Day".

After cheering on runners in the relay race, the princess watched the young people compete in sports races and other fun activities.

The Nordstad Diekirch high school is part of the UNESCO Associated Schools Network. The goal of "NOSL meets ZAK" is a chance for students with learning difficulties to get involved in different sports and other activities.

ZAK "Zesummen Aktiv" is a not-for-profit organisation organising sport and leisure activities for people with disabilities.
