Luxembourg’s Independent Audiovisual Authority (ALIA) has accused RTL television of manipulating information in the report concerning former director of MUDAM, Enrico Lungi, broadcast last year.

Luxembourg’s Independent Audiovisual Authority (ALIA) has accused RTL television of manipulating information in the report concerning former director of the Museum of Modern Art (MUDAM), Enrico Lungi, broadcast by the channel on October 3 last year.

ALIA considers that RTL "manipulated the information, through cuts and mounts that violate the rules of journalism" and those of the "public service agreed with the state".

ALIA also considers that the RTL report "violated the ethical principles of journalism".

In the report Lunghi appeared to display aggressive behaviour towards the journalist, Sophie Schram, who interviewed him. However, according to ALIA, the images were manipulated.

The case gave rise to the resignation of Lunghi from the post of director of MUDAM.
