Science for the whole family at special festival
(CS) The Science Festival at Abbaye de Neumünster and the Natural History Museum will give young and old the chance to learn something new and discover the fun behind science.
The festival takes place from November 7 to 10 at Abbaye de Neumünster and the “Naturmusée” in the Grund; however, the first two days are reserved for school visits.
On November 8 and 9, the festival will be open to the general public, with workshops and science demonstrations teaching children and teeangers about anything from solar panels to microbes, the elements, cardiology and animal camouflage.
In cooperation with UN World Water Day, there will also be a series of events all around the topic of water.
Science shows are hosted in a mix of French, German and Luxembourgish, with some shows without spoken words.
In 2011, some 11,000 young explorers joined the festival.
