The national weather service Meteolux has issued a snow warning across the country.

The alert is in place between 5am and 7pm on Thursday.

Up to eight centimetres of snow may fall, with the country's southeast the most affected, Meteolux said. Towards the evening, the snow is expected to subside.

Slippery roads may be a feature due to the weather conditions, with temperatures ranging between -4 and 1 degrees on Thursday.

Friday is predicted to be sunnier, Meteolux said, with no weather warnings in place.
