Speeding motorist was already serving driving ban

A drink driver led police on a high-speed car chase in the early hours of Saturday morning, after he was clocked driving at 114 km/h instead of 50.

The driver was spotted by police on route de Longwy travelling towards Helfenterbruck in Bertrange at around 2.30am.

A police car pursued him at speed around the neighbourhood until the driver pulled over.

It emerged that the suspect was already serving a driving ban. The car was seized and the driver received a fine.
