Street market and open Sunday
(CS) Luxembourg City will be buzzing with activity this weekend, as the capital will host a street market on Saturday and its monthly open day on Sunday.
The “Stroossemaart” on Saturday starts at 8am and continues until 7pm. If you're looking to stock up on your summer wardrobe, shops will be offering special prices on some of their wares, with outdoor stalls complemented by food and drink and other activities.
Some streets in the City centre, as well as around Avenue de la Gare will be closed for motorists. However, taking the bus will be for free. For a map of road closures see here and visit vdl.lu to see which bus routes are affected by the street market.
Don't forget that the British Ladies Club also hosts its annual Car Boot Sale at the Glacis car park on Saturday, starting 9am.
Like every first Sunday of the month, shops will be open in Luxembourg City during the afternoon on June 7, while there will be a flea market in Place Guillaume II from 10am until 5pm.
Buses on Sunday will also be free of charge, including lines 1 to 31 of the Luxembourg City network, as well as RGTR buses 120, 144, 192, 194 and 215.
Bus service n°1 will connect the P&R Bouillon with the City centre every ten minutes, from 12.48pm onwards.
