(ml/sth) – The three perpetrators from last Thursday's brutal robbery in the car park of BIL in Luxembourg-Hollerich are still on the run. Daily newspaper “Tageblatt” now reports that the suitcase stolen in this incident allegedly contained 1.3 million euros.

Three attackers had hit a man with baseball bats in the car park located in front of a bank building in the Route d'Esch and took a suitcase containing cash from him.

The stolen sum allegedly amounts to 1.3 million euros, according to reports by "Tageblatt" in its latest issue. The newspaper refers to well-informed sources.

Police and the bank have not released any information on this so far. The prosecutor's office could not provide any further information on how much money was stolen either.

The exact circumstances of the incident remain unclear at this moment. The perpetrators had escaped with a silver grey Audi A3 direction Bridel. They then burned the car near the car park "Fräiheetsbam" and several weapons were found inside the vehicle.
