Sweden's Princess Madeleine welcomes baby boy
(CS) Just two days after Sweden's royals celebrated the wedding of Prince Carl Philip to Sofia Hellqvist there is more occasion for joy, as his sister, Princess Madeleine, gave birth to a baby boy.
The Swedish royal household on Facebook announced that the baby was born on Monday, June 15, at 1.45pm, saying that both mother and baby are doing well.
The latest addition to the royal family joins older sister Princess Leonore, born February 20 last year.
Madeleine appeared with her husband, UK-US businessman Christopher O'Neill on Saturday at he brother's wedding, heavily pregnant, wearing a flowing pink dress.
The name of the baby boy has not yet been revealed. He is the third grandchild of King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden and Queen Silvia.
Their oldest daughter, Crown Princess Victoria, has one child with husband Prince Daniel – little Princess Estelle, who was a flower girl and her uncle and godfather's wedding this weekend.
