(CS) A taxi driver in Differdange had a lucky escape in the early hours of Monday morning, when two suspects tried to rob him but failed because the car's doors were locked.

The men knocked on the taxi's windows at the Differdange train station car park around 1.55am, telling the driver to hand over his cash. However, the driver had locked the car's doors and the suspects were unable to get inside.

The driver then proceeded to drive off, accidentally hitting the hip of one of the suspects, prompting the other to kick the front door on the passenger side.

One of the suspects was wearing a Guy Fawkes mask with the other wearing a white mask with a beard and tears drawn on it. A search for the men, who were described as around 1.70 metres tall and of slim build, wearing dark clothes and black gloves, was unsuccessful.
