Thousands of people attended Saturday's 2014 Blues 'n Jazz Rallye in Luxembourg City in what seemed to be a relatively trouble-free night.

More than 50 jazz and blues acts performed across 11 open-air stages and in 12 cafés and restaurants in the Grund and Clausen during the course of the evening.

Although, no figures on actual attendance were available at the time of publishing, around 25,000 spectators were expected.

And, with Saturday's dry and steamy weather, the streets and squares were teeming with life as people socialised and danced along to the free live acts at what was the 20th edition of the event.

Over the course of the evening, Luxembourg Police received a few pickpocket reports, mainly of mobile phones stolen from handbags. A handbag was also stolen in the Grund.
