(HP) Almost 3,000 runners took to the streets of Luxembourg on Sunday to take part in this year's Postlaf.

Men and women ran the 10km race, which started and ended in Gasperich.

Mengistu Zelalem, from Ethiopia, won the race and the men's category, completing the run in just 29 minutes.

And Martine Mellina, representing Celtic Diekirch, won the women's category with a time of 37 minutes.

Children were also able to take part in the race and a 500m competition was held for those born between 2009 and 2012 and a 1km race for children born between 2003 and 2008.

Caritas Luxembourg, which works towards the social inclusion of children, was at the event and runners were given the chance to donate the two euro deposit for their running chip to the charity.
