"Time After Time" Cyndi Lauper at the Rockhal
American pop legend Cyndi Lauper took to the Rockhal stage on Saturday night as part of her tour to promote her eleventh album “Memphis Blues”. The eccentric eighties artist proved that she still had what it takes in front of her fans, more than twenty years after she first took to the stage.
New songs revealed a more mature Cyndi Lauper, cheered on by an enthusiastic audience. For her comeback, the artist worked with a great team and surrounded herself with only the best musicians of blues and soul, such as BB King, Jonny Lang, Allen Toussaint and Ann Peebles.
But of course it wasn’t all about her new stuff. Out came the classics Cindy is known for, such as "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun," "Time After Time" and "True Colors" still sounding good after all these years. “Good music should be timeless”, says Cyndi Lauper - obviously the same goes for musicians too.
