(CS) Creative entrepreneurs still have two weeks to submit their business ideas to the Ireland Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce's innovation contest.

The Dragon's Den style event was launched in June, with the aim of encouraging innovation in the Grand Duchy, both among seasoned member of the business community and aspiring entrepreneurs.

Applicants need to developed a business plan, including market research, as well as design a prototype. Ideas can be both product or service-based, but the project needs to be designed so that it can be operated from Luxembourg.

The deadline for applications is September 15. This is followed on October 10 with a pitching event, where candidates will present their idea to a professional jury.

The event is organised in partnership with The Impactory and sponsors include The Huggard Consulting Group, Bonn Steichen & Partners, KPMG, Karl Horsburgh, BUROS and “fast”.

The winning pitches will be awarded prizes to help develop their product, but the event is a chance for all innovative and aspiring entrepreneurs to present their ideas to the business community in Luxembourg, with a networking session also on the programme for October 10.
