Want to get away from it all?
If you're suffering from the winter blues, a trip to the holiday fair at Luxexpo may be just the cure.
Vakanz is the biggest holiday supermarket in Luxembourg, providing vacation inspiration and great offers for hopeful globetrotters.
From beach holidays in Asia, to safari trips in Africa, and last-minute ski escapes in Europe, name any tourist destination or activity and it is more than likely that the 200 exhibitors at Vakanz will be able to offer suggestions and advice.
A new feature of this year's event will be a stall focusing on Japan: its customs, history and cuisine. Chef Toshihiro Azuma will be on-hand to provide curious gourmets with a taste of Japanese food meanwhile there will be flower arranging and theatrical demonstrations throughout the three days.
For those watching their travel budget this year, there will be a chance to enter a prize draw to win gifts, holidays, travellers cheques and more.
Meanwhile there will be plenty of entertainment for all the family, including the chance to try out a Segway and an afterwork party on Friday from 5pm featuring DJs Tony and Marc.
The three-day event is held at Luxexpo and runs from January 20 to 22. Entry is 5 euros for adults and free for under 18s.
