(CS) Despite the cloudy weather and unseasonably cold temperatures, Dutch King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima received a warm welcome in Luxembourg City on Friday.

The couple was greeted by Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria-Teresa, as well as bystanders who had come to catch a glimpse of the elegant couple.

The Dutch royals have travelled to Luxembourg on their first official visit since the official investiture on April 30. Dutch Foreign Minister Frans Timmermans is also part of the delegation, and is set to meet with Luxembourg colleague Jean Asselborn to discuss bilateral relations and cooperation between the Benelux countries.

Willem-Alexander and Máxima will take a private lunch with the Grand Ducal family at the palace in the City centre, before meeting Chamber of Deputies President Laurent Mosar and Prime Minister Jean-Claude Juncker.

More photos and video coverage of the visit will follow over the course of the day.
