(CS) Nine driver's licences were confiscated by police in the night from Saturday to Sunday, with eight cases of drunk driving.

This follows the confiscation of six licences the night before, and brings the weekend tally up to 15 suspended licences, 14 for drunk driving.

On Saturday nigh police caught two drunk drivers after they caused accidents in Eselborn and Esch/Alzette. One motorist was spotted driving in wavy lines while another had shredded the tyres of his car on the curb.

The other drunk drivers were caught by police during regular controls.

One driver had their licence withdrawn for speeding.

Over the course of the day, police reported that they had confiscated two further licences for drunk driving.
