Wrong-way driver causes serious accident

(CS) A wrong-way driver caused a serious accident on Sunday morning on the A4, with a stretch of motorway closed for several hours during clear-up operations.

In direction of Luxembourg, two cars collided in a head-on crash between Esch/Alzette and Foetz leaving both drivers seriously injured.

The crash occurred around 6am in the morning and the stretch of motorway remained closed until around 11am while the motorway was being cleared of debris.

The cars of both drivers were registered in France.
