(CS) Some 150 young artists were in the spotlight at this year's “On Stéitsch” festival, from musicians and dancers to designers and painters.

During ten hours, the CarréRotondes in Hollerich was abuzz with activity as 22 young bands from Luxembourg and the Greater Region showed what they've got. Among the newcomers were also some bands that have already been making some waves in the Grand Duchy such as The Gambling Badgers and Five Cent Cones.

Ten dance combos also took the stage and showed their moves from a variety of dance styles to an audience of around 300 people, which had gathered by the afternoon with more streaming in as the evening went on.

The “On Stéitsch” festival is organised by Luxembourg national youth service SNJ to encourage young talent in the country to pursue their art. But it's not just on stage that the youngsters take over, but backstage, too, young people help run the show.

Workshops rounded off the programme on Saturday, and the free festival came to a close around midnight.
