Michael Ferguson came to Luxembourg in 1989 and joined EY in 1994. During his time at EY, Michael lead EY’s Luxembourg’s Wealth and Asset Management Sector and its EMEIA Assurance Practice.
Since his arrival in Luxembourg 30 years ago, Michael has witnessed immense growth and developments in the fund industry. Over this period, Luxembourg`s has established itself as the leading and largest international fund center with investment fund assets growing from USD120 bn in 1989 to USD 6 trillion today. Through his membership of EFAMA (the European Fund Asset Management Association) and ALFI (the Luxembourg Investment Fund Association), Michael played an active role in all these developments. He was elected to the Board of ALFI, served on its Executive Committee and was appointed as Vice Chairman with responsibility for International Affairs.
At EY Michael was responsible for leading a team of professionals in developing and delivering a range of professional services to a global asset management clientele. He also authored and edited “Investment Funds in Luxembourg”, a 600-page publication, updated on an annual basis, covering all aspects on setting up and operating investment funds and asset management companies in Luxembourg

Christophe is a Certified Public Accountant (Réviseur d’Entreprises) in Luxembourg and a multi-disciplinary professional, who has led a diverse range of assignments including for central governments, audits of mutual and alternative investment funds, internal audits and AML/KYC remediation programs for large financial institutions. He is a strong believer in the Managed Services

“Michael is clearly one of the “Leaders” of the Wealth and Asset Management industry. His ongoing contribution to the Luxembourg ecosystem and EY has been invaluable. While we will miss him in the EY partnership, we are delighted that from July 1, Michael will act as Senior Advisor to EY. Christophe brings a new perspective and focus to our Wealth and Asset Management sector that he will leverage with the legacy of Michael.”
